HS Checkout Letter

May 7, 2020

Dear Families,

We appreciate your support and cooperation during the closure of our building. This is adversity like we have never seen before.  We have still accomplished much during this time.  I’m sure the students are anxious to come back and resume their education and activities.  We don’t know what the future holds in regard to fall schedules and we are working diligently to provide a return to school that will go smoothly and ensure the success of every student in our school.

In the meantime, we are planning a student check-out for next week, May 11-14.  Students will be able to enter the building through the middle school south doors, clean out lockers, and return materials checked out to them this past school year.   There will be a check-in table at the middle school entrance and tables set up in the gym for respective teachers where textbooks and other materials can be placed.  We can only allow fifteen students in the building at a time and will be monitoring this carefully.

Student Check-Out Schedule

Grades 6th and 9th Monday, May 11th, 9 AM to 5 PM

Grades 7th and 10th Tuesday, May 12th, 9 AM to 5 PM

Grades 8th and 11th Wednesday, May 13th, 9 AM to 5 PM

Grades 12th Thursday, May 14th, 9 AM to 5 PM

*If these times do not work out for you another time can be arranged.

Side Notes:

  • Computers that have been checked out should be brought back to school next week.

  • There are several 6th-grade social studies projects in Mrs. Week’s room that can be picked up.

  • Shop class projects can remain at school and finished during ARC, after school, etc. next fall. If we are able to allow students in later this summer there may be an opportunity to work on them then as well.

  • There are several art projects that can be picked up in Mrs. Eickhoff’s classroom and textile projects in Mrs. Rohr’s room.

  • There will be a table in the gym for library books that were checked out.

  • If you have a junior high wrestling uniform please check them in next week in the gym.

  • Any other uniforms that have not been checked in can be brought in as well.

  • Lunch balances and other activity/project fees may be paid during check out as well.

Sincerely,

Marty Hughes
