Dear parents/guardians and community members,
The District wants to inform you about an opportunity to participate in a study for broadband in Nebraska. The purpose of the study is to expose unserved and underserved areas. Broadband is important for many reasons, but especially education. As we become more reliant on the internet, it is important for students to have quality access to internet speeds.
Please consider participating in this broadband initiative by taking the one-minute speed test by following the steps below. If you do not have internet at a location, this can be reported with this test, as well. The test is free for all Nebraskans, privacy is guaranteed, participation can be done at your own convenience, and you are contributing to the growth and development of your community at no cost.
Step 1: Make sure your device is connected to the internet and go to www.nebraskaspeedtest.org
Step 2: From there, scroll toward the bottom of the page and enter your selection in the white box under the “Take the Speed Test” and then hit the “Let’s Do It” button.
Step 3: Enter information into the corresponding boxes.
Step 4: Hit “Check Address” and the test will run.
